INFORMATION
DESCRIPTION: This breed has a
well domed head, short nose, and
a undershot jaw. It has a
human-like pouting expression.


HEIGHT / WEIGHT:  The average
height is from 7 to 8 inches.
Weight from 6 to 8 pounds.
Should not be over 12 pounds.


COLORS: Red-reddish brown
with a little black at the whiskers
and chin, Belge- black and
reddish brown mixed, usually
with black mask and whiskers,
Black and Tan- black with
uniform reddish brown markings,
appearing under the legs, Black-
solid black.


COAT: The Rough Coat is wiry
and dense.  The Smooth Coat is
straight, short, tight and glossy,
with no trace of wiry hair.


TEMPERAMENT: The Brussels
Griffon is a charming and clever
dog. It makes an excellent
companion. They are
high-strung and lively. They love
to be spoiled and like to bark.
They make very good family pets
although they may be hard to
housebreak.


HEALTH CONCERNS: Potential
eye problems, slipping patellas,
difficult to breed, and respiratory
problems.
LIFE EXPECTANCY: Twelve to
fifteen years.
LIVING ENVIRONMENT:   They
do not require large living
quarters and can do well in
apartments. This breed gets the
daily exercise on their own.
